Already famed for showpiece bouts and live events, Seni05 saw the successful launch of the Gracie European Invitational and Seni07 saw the Festival build on that success with the introduction of a dedicated tournament zone to promote a host of unique top-quality open semi-contact championships in keeping with Seni’s commitment to promoting and raising the profile of all martial arts.
The result was a series of stunning championship initiatives and Seni firsts, as the show played host to new events such as the London Wushu Open, the Capoeira Campeonato and the London Karate Classic. Seni08 will host a tournament zone across 16 matted areas in 4 fighting arenas across 2 spectacular days, with over 12 open championships making Seni one of the largest open tournament events in the World!
With it ties in with the Beijing Olympics through its unique partnership with ‘China Now’ and Newham, the 2012 Olympic Borough, Seni08 will bring an exciting Olympic flavour to the Tournament Zone with fencing and Judo on the agenda alongside Karate, Taekwondo, Kung-Fu, Capoeira, Freestyle, Kendo and Jiu Jitsu.
