This seminar will introduce you to the ancient Korean Sword art of Haidong Gumdo, as taught by the chairman of the UK Federation.
Master Ewan Briscoe is well respected in martial arts circles with 35 years experience, first as the founder of the renowned Panther Taekwondo black belt Academy and later as the man at the forefront of Haidong Gumdo in Europe and the pioneer of this beautiful sword art in the UK. Haidong Gumdo is the traditional martial art of the ancient Koguryo Kingdom and one of the special features of Haidong Gumdo is not the simplicity of Japanese Kendo not the magnificence of Chinese Kung-Fu, rather it is the pride it takes in being the most realistic sword art. Master Briscoe sums up Haidong Gumdo as a potent mix of will, skill and tradition, stating that “Haidong Gumdo is a very traditional art for a very modern world.”
